Justin Bieber's bodyguard aggravates surfers in Australia - report

Written by . Published: November 28 2013

Justin Bieber reportedly incurred the wrath of surfers during a trip to a beach in Australia this week (beg25Nov13) when one of the singer's bodyguards allegedly snatched a cell phone from a spectator.

The Baby hitmaker enjoyed a surfing lesson in Byron Bay on Wednesday (27Nov13), and his antics on the beach attracted a crowd of onlookers all eager to snap a picture of the star.

Surfer Kes Weartherm claims one of Bieber's bodyguards snatched his cell phone away after he caught him taking pictures, and he tells TMZ.com that a group of angry bystanders had to badger the security supervisor into handing the device back.

Bieber later posted his own pictures of his surfing experience on his Instagram.com page.

The news comes just days after one of Bieber's bodyguards was arrested for allegedly assaulting a photographer during a beach outing in Hawaii last week (21Nov13).

Dwayne Patterson, 29, was charged with third degree assault and fourth degree criminal property damage for allegedly grabbing a snapper's camera and damaging the device after the owner refused to delete pictures of the star.

Patterson was released on $3,000 bail.
