A handful of demonstrators who took to the streets of Atlanta, Georgia on Monday (24Feb14) to protest Justin Bieber's planned move to the city's swanky Buckhead district have been exposed as fakes.
Reports surfaced over the weekend (21-23Feb14) suggesting members of the Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition (BNC) had been infuriated by the thought of the party-loving hitmaker becoming a neighbor and they planned to campaign against his move by staging a march on Monday.
However, it has since been revealed that the BNC group was formed as part of a prank by a radio presenter and those posing as protesters on Monday were actually radio interns.
Instead, the president of the real Buckhead Coalition, Sam Massell, insists he would welcome Bieber into the area if he chooses to make Buckhead his home.
He tells AccessAtlanta.com, "If I meet him I'll be cordial like I would with anyone else. I suspect he has a good side."
Bieber is reportedly selling up his property in Calabasas, California ahead of a planned Atlanta move after a number of incidents with his neighbors, which culminated in a police investigation into allegations of an egging attack in January (14).
He is currently renting out R&B producer Dallas Austin's Atlanta home while he looks for his dream property in the affluent Buckhead neighborhood, where his mentor Usher also owns a pad.
