Justin Bieber cemented his place as a global pop superstar by performing for 45,000 fans in Mumbai, India on Wednesday (10May17).

The Baby singer took over D.Y. Patil Stadium for his first Indian show after meeting underprivileged children and greeting fans at a city mall, where he stopped for a coffee.

Throughout the day, the singer was shadowed by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's personal bodyguard and an army of Navi Mumbai police officials.

At the concert venue, DJs Sartek, Zaeden, and Alan Walker prepared fans for Bieber's show, hosted by actress and model Elarica Johnson.

Justin opened his 120-minute set with Where Are U Now and performed hits like Boyfriend, Love Yourself, As Long As You Love Me, Baby, and Purpose, before closing the set with Sorry.

He also thrilled fans by inviting a group of Indian kids onstage to dance with him.

The show was a who's who of Bollywood talent, with Raveena Tandon, Arjun Rampal, Kiku Sharda, Alia Bhatt, Sridevi, Maliaka Arora, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, Dia Mirza, and Sonali Bendre spotted in the audience.

Many of the stars posted images of themselves at the concert, while actor Rampal uploaded a picture of himself with his daughters on social media and captioned it: "Making memories... this car just got crazy. #anythingformygirls."

Sharda also shared a selfie en-route to Bieber's Mumbai concert.

Meanwhile, Justin is also making chart history - he has become the first male artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 twice.

Thanks to his mention on DJ Khaled's chart-topping I'm the One, he joins Britney Spears and Mariah Carey as the only acts with multiple number one launches. What Do You Mean? was his other top debut.

DJ Khaled's new hit, which also features Quavo from Migos, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne, rocketed to the top of the countdown on Monday (08May17).

Bieber and Britney now have two number one debuts apiece, while Carey has three - Fantasy, One Sweet Day, and Honey.
