Justin Bieber faces huge bill for monkey care
Written by . Published: May 17 2013
Justin Bieber is facing a massive bill from an animal sanctuary for looking after his pet monkey while he was on tour.
The Baby hitmaker was forced to hand over Mally the capuchin to customs officials in Munich, Germany in March (13) after failing to secure permission to take the primate into the country.
Earlier this month (May13) it emerged Bieber has decided not to
reclaim his odd pet and to allow it to be re-housed at a German zoo
instead - but he is still facing a huge bill for Mally's care.
A spokesman for the customs department in Munich tells
Billboard.com the cost of food and veterinary care for the monkey
runs into thousands of dollars.
A deadline for Bieber to collect the pet expires on Friday
(17May13).
