Sunday, 20 December 2009

Jude Law used to regret changing his name from David, because he was often mistaken for a girl.

The British actor, who was born David Law, began using his famous moniker as a stage name when he enrolled with a youth drama group in London in the 1980s.

He says, "(I was) assigned to the girls' dormitories and sleeping quarters when I was a teenager and I joined the National Youth Music Theater. Someone took a look at my name and clearly thought, 'It has to be a girl.' How wrong can you get?"
