Josh Homme and Jay Z discuss security drama at festival

Queens Of The Stone Age star Josh Homme and Jay Z have "spoken" about remarks the rocker made following a tense stand-off with the rapper's security team at the 2013 Made in America festival.

Homme threatened to walk out of Jay Z's new music event just hours before taking to the stage when one of the rapper's security guards asked to search his bag.

The No One Knows hitmakers were on the bill for the second day of the event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and frontman Homme was stunned at the level of security surrounding festival founder Jay Z.

He told Canada's CBC Radio 2, "That guy's a kook, you know. He has his security frisking the bands on the way in... I just told (the security guard) 'If you open up my bag, then we're not playing, so I guess it's up to you now to decide whether I'm playing or not...' You shouldn't frisk my guys, you should f**k off."

But Homme now tells Rolling Stone magazine, "We had a conversation, and I think we saw each other's point of view pretty clear. In fact, he told me his own family had a problem with security."
