Hollywood actor Johnny Depp was served with legal papers relating to a murder trial as he attended the premiere of his latest movie in Los Angeles on Thursday (10Apr14).
The star was served while he attended the red carpet screening of new sci-fi film Transcendence at the Regency Village Theater, according to TMZ.com.
The website's editors report the legal papers relate to the
upcoming trial of Nancy Lekon, who is accused of killing a
pedestrian with her car in 2009, and has pleaded not guilty by
reason of insanity.
Lekon reportedly claims to have been in a relationship with
Hollywood heartthrob Depp at the time of the incident, so her
lawyer has asked for the star to testify at the trial.
