John Mayer returning to the stage for SNL appearance

John Mayer is returning to the stage to perform with singer Frank Ocean on the upcoming season premiere of sketch show Saturday Night Live.
The Daughters hitmaker underwent a second operation to remove a granuloma from his vocal cords on 27 August (12) and he was subsequently put on voice rest for six months.
But, although Mayer will not be able to sing until February (13),
when doctors expect his throat surgery to be properly healed, the
34 year old has refused to stay out of the spotlight, making plans
to appear with Ocean on live TV on Saturday (15Sep12).
A post on the R&B star's Twitter.com account reads, "SNL this
weekend. Me and the bro John Mayer."
