John Mayer launches music video contest

John Mayer is offering a fan the chance to create his new music video and win $5,000.

The Who Says hitmaker has teamed up with bosses at Genero.tv to find a talented amateur filmmaker to make the promo for track Something Like Olivia.

Mayer will help pick the best video after the contest closes on 5 January (13) and the winner will receive a $5,000 prize.
