Joey Bada$$ in scuffle outside Kanye West album launch

Violence erupted outside the launch event for Kanye West's new album on Thursday (11Feb16) as rapper Joey Bada$$ was involved in an altercation with a photographer.

Video footage of the incident posted on Youtube.com shows the hip hop star, real name Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, hitting out at a snapper who tapped the back of his head while he was getting into a car outside New York's Madison Square Garden venue.

Joey and the photographer became embroiled in an ugly shoving match, causing a police officer to place himself between the pair in order to break up the scuffle.

The Summer Knights musician was attending a listening party and fashion event held by Kanye to mark the upcoming release of his new album The Life Of Pablo.
