JOEL MADDEN GETTING HAIRY IN 2010

Joel Madden is in for a hairy time - he's vowed not to shave until 2010.

The rocker has let his facial hair grow wild in recent weeks and he took to his Twitter.com page to ask fans whether he should keep the rough and ready look.

After the majority replied that he should - Madden promised he would avoid a razor for the next three months.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com blog, he wrote, "Should I shave? I haven't in five weeks.

"OK, so the tweets have spoken - 80% say I should not shave. If that is your wish, then I will not shave. But by mid-Jan I should h ave a beard."

And the musician doesn't have to worry about his girlfriend Nicole Richie moaning about his moustache, he insists she loves his stubble. He adds, "Three good reasons why Joel should not shave: 1. It's November; 2. Nicole likes me with a dirty face; 3. I'm lazy."
