R&B star Jhene Aiko was forced to halt a performance in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday (25Sep17) after an audience member suffered a seizure.

The singer uses strobe lighting as part of her show, and although attendees are given advanced warning about the special effects, one fan had to be hospitalized during Aiko's gig at the Buckhead Theater.

In video footage obtained by TMZ.com, Jhene can be seen addressing some kind of drama in the audience, before calling for a medic to assist the concert-goer as she asks her band to "hold" the music mid-song.

She said, "We've gotta make sure everybody's safe in here, so make way for a medic."

The woman, who was still violently shaking, was carried out of the hall by two medics, and Jhene subsequently resumed her set after issuing her own warning about the lighting to fans.

After the event, Jhene took to Twitter and appealed for information about the unnamed female's condition, posting, "sending healing light to the young lady who got sick at the show... if any of her friends or fam can give me an update i'd appreciate it (sic)!"
