Jessica Simpson confirms pregnancy

Jessica Simpson has confirmed rumors she's pregnant with her first child in a fun, Halloween-themed post online.

Reports suggesting the singer was expecting first surfaced in early September (11), but the blonde beauty has refused to confirm or deny the story - despite photos that appear to show her with a baby belly.

Now the mom-to-be has broken her silence and announced the news on her website on Monday (31Oct11).

Posting a photo of herself dressed up as a mommified figure for Halloween, Simpson cradles her bulging belly, alongside the caption, "It's true - I'm going to be a mummy!"

Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson became engaged last November (10) and they are expected to wed before the end of 2011.
