Jennifer Lopez shaken after scary car accident

Jennifer Lopez was terrified for her children's safety when they were involved in a "super scary" car accident over the weekend (26-27Sep14).

The On the Floor hitmaker was travelling to a Demi Lovato concert in Los Angeles with her friend Leah Remini and their children when another driver crashed into the rear end of their vehicle.

Lopez tells Extra that she checked all the kids were unharmed before launching into a tirade at the culprit.

She says, "Everybody's fine, thank you for asking... just a little shook up. You know you get hit from behind like that, it felt like a boulder fell on top of the car... I was super scared that something (had) happened to the kids... They say in situations like that you fight, flight, freeze. I didn't freeze, I fought, and I didn't leave, I fought... I was like, 'They were kids in the car! There were three kids in the car, what's wrong with you?'"

The driver allegedly left before police arrived on the scene and was later apprehended and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and hit and run.

Lopez is mother to six-year-old twins, Max and Emme, while Remini has a 10-year-old daughter named Sofia.
