Jennifer Lopez 'considering musical based on her life'

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly planning on turning her pop hits into a Broadway musical.

The singer-and-actress sang about her rags to riches story on her top 10 hit Jenny from the Block, and now insiders say the premise could be made into a stage show.

“Jen thinks her life story could make millions if it’s done right,” a source told America’s OK! Magazine.

“Once she takes a break from her All I Have show in Vegas in August (16), she’s going to hunker down and do a lot of research for the musical. She wants to star as her older self, and says it would be the biggest challenge she’s ever faced. She’ll give her all to make it happen.”

If the show gets the green light, the Shades of Blue actress will follow in the footsteps of music acts like Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and The Kinks, whose story can currently be seen in musicals Jersey Boys and Sunny Afternoon respectively.

Rumors of a Broadway production were boosted recently, when 46-year-old Jennifer admitted she’d love to make her debut on the New York stage. And she’s already got an idea on who can get her there – Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

"He's going to write me this amazing thing - it's going to be better than Hamilton," Jennifer joked to E! News. "I'm going to star in it. I'm going to win the Tony."

"No pressure," Lin-Manuel responded. "Better than Hamilton, no pressure. Seven years of my life!"

Hamilton won an impressive 11 gongs at the 2016 Tony Awards in June (16), including Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical.

Jennifer and Lin-Manuel have also teamed up on Jennifer’s new track Love Make The World Go Round, a benefit song for those affected by the shooting massacre at an Orlando gay nightclub last month (Jun16).
