Jennifer Lawrence continued her annual holiday tradition of visiting ailing children at a hospital in Kentucky by stopping by the medical facility on Christmas Eve.

The Hunger Games star went home for the holidays and on Sunday (24Dec17), she spent time at Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville, where she posed for pictures with fans and their loved ones.

"Louisville's own Jennifer Lawrence stopped by Norton Children's today to visit with patients, families, and staff," a message on the hospital's Instagram account read. "This visit has become a tradition for Lawrence each Christmas. Thank you, Jennifer! You sure do bring a smile to all!"

This is the fifth year Lawrence has visited the hospital, and in 2016, she donated $2 million to create the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The 14-bed unit will be used to provide space for families to stay while their children are recovering from heart procedures.

"My family and I have met so many wonderful children on our visits to the hospital," she said at the time of the donation. "Their strength and courage is inspiring. I challenge everyone to give whatever they can to raise an additional $2 million to help."

Lawrence's visit took place on the same weekend her friend Kris Jenner revealed the actress had surprised her with a toy Porsche for Christmas.

"My BFF (best friend forever) #Jenniferlawrence asked me what i wanted for Christmas and of course I said a Porsche, DUH," she wrote alongside a picture of the car that is made for children to ride in. "My girl didn't disappoint. Thank you Jen I love you!!!"

Jennifer, who is a Keeping Up with the Kardashians superfan, became close with Kim Kardashian's mother Kris in 2015, when she made a surprise appearance at the movie star's birthday celebration.
