Jennifer Lawrence struggles with anxiety issues
Jennifer Lawrence is suffering from anxiety issues which cause recurring nightmares.
The Hunger Games star reveals simple triggers, like grocery shopping, can make her feel on edge and exacerbate her problems, while she also has terrifying dreams about being out in public.
She tells Britain's The Daily Telegraph, "A lot of anxiety comes
from something as simple as me going to the grocery store because I
don't know what could happen. I have nightmares all the times that
I'm walking through a shopping mall and suddenly people start
surrounding me going to the grocery store because I don't know what
could happen. I have nightmares all the time that I'm walking
through a shopping mall and suddenly people start surrounding me
and there's nowhere to go... I have to live with it. I do my
best."
Lawrence reveals encounters with fans also make her feel anxious.
She adds, "When I meet young fans, I understand them because I was
like that too, but it's the real life run-ins with people who
sometimes don't really know how to act that make me feel weird and
I don't like it. When the elevator doors open and everybody gasps,
it's an alienating feeling. I'm figuring it out. Or trying to."
