JAY-Z TO MAKE STATESIDE FESTIVAL DEBUT

Rapper Jay-Z is to headline his first festival Stateside.

The hip-hop heavyweight has been confirmed as the Friday night top-biller at the All Points West Music + Arts Festival in Liberty State Park, New Jersey on 31 July (09). He replaces the Beastie Boys, who had to pull out of their headlining slot after Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer.The show marks the rap star's U.S. festival debut, but not his first festival date - he performed at a variety of European events last summer (08).Other All Points West headliners are Tool and Coldplay. Performers include Echo + The Bunnymen, My Bloody Valentine, Vampire Weekend, MGMT and Fleet Foxes will also appear on the bill.
