Jason Lewis is plotting a small screen comeback - as the lead of new crime-drama Rio!

Lewis fast became a Hollywood heartthrob as actress Kim Cattrall's love interest in Sex and the City.

Now the actor will navigate Brazil's Rio de Janeiro as he leads the cast in the upcoming TV pilot.

Lewis will play an international detective who travels to South America to investigate a crime, and decides to stay after he falls in love with the city's music, beaches and nightlife.

Production is schedule to kick off next month (Dec09) in Rio, reports the New York Post.
