Jared Padalecki and actress Genevieve Cortese are set to wed after becoming lovers on the set of TV show Supernatural.

Representatives for Padalecki have confirmed the news to Eonline.com.

The couple met when Cortese was cast as a demon on Padalecki's hit show and their characters fell in love on the programme.

Reports of a late-winter wedding have not been confirmed.
