Jane Lynch: 'Tussauds unveiling felt like a wake'

Glee star Jane Lynch was filled with mixed emotions when she came face-to-face with her waxwork at Madame Tussauds last year (10) - because the whole unveiling ceremony reminded her of a funeral.

The actress was honoured by the Hollywood branch of the celebrity wax museum, with her statue dressed as her Glee character, cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester.

But Jane Lynch admits she wasn't smiling on the inside as she posed for photos beside her look-a-like at the big event.

In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, Happy Accidents, obtained by People magazine, she writes, "At the unveiling ceremony, they ushered Lara (Embry, her partner), Haden (Embry's daughter) and me very quietly into a meeting room. The museum representative requested gravely that 'the family come this way, please', and it suddenly hit me that I felt like we were at a wake. When I viewed the wax image of myself, all I could think was, 'This is how I will look in a coffin.'

"Though I was grateful that they made my a** look good, I was also glad that my own last will and testament specified cremation for my remains."
