Jamie Dornan: 'I'm done with Christian Grey'

Actor Jamie Dornan will be three-and-done when the Fifty Shades Of Grey trilogy wraps, insisting he won't return for a potential fourth film.

The Northern Irish star has just completed filming on the second and third movie adaptations of E.L. James' erotic book series, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, and he has made it clear he won't reprise his role as Grey if her fourth novel, Grey, is adapted for the big screen.

"We have done two movies back to back now, and I'm actually finished with it," he tells The Sun. "I've done Fifty Shades forever.

"I move on very fast in my mind. As much as from the outside people think you are synonymous with one character, but I'm very much like, 'Right, that’s done', and move on to the next project and worry about that character."

Dornan, who landed the role of Grey after Charlie Hunnam pulled out of last year's (15) Fifty Shades of Grey, has also shot Anthropoid, The Siege of Jadotville, and The 9th Life of Louis Drax around the production schedules of his Fifty Shades movies and he insists he doesn't want to be remembered as James' ex-obsessed businessman.

Talking about playing a top-ranking Nazi official in Anthropoid, he recently told Good Morning America, "I think as an actor, you do just want to mix it up... You don't want to be typecast."

But he has enjoyed playing Dakota Johnson's lover on the big screen: "We filmed (instalments) two and three back to back," he continued. "It was the right way to do it. It was good for everyone, in terms of keeping up with the energy... It's hard in a way for people to re-motivate themselves and get back into character."
