James Franco to run acting school
Actor, student, artist, director, drama sage and college professor James Franco is adding another job to his resume - acting school dean.
The 127 Hours star has already taught classes at some of the most prestigious film colleges, including New York University, University of Southern California and UCLA, and now he is ready to start a school of his own.
Franco has teamed up with bosses at Los Angeles theater school
Playhouse West to create Studio 4, where he will teach acting
classes to aspiring thespians.
Studio 4 will offer classes in the Meisner technique of acting, as
well as training based on Franco's personal creative visions.
Franco is planning to utilise his celebrity connections to lure
industry professionals for question and answer sessions and sit-ins
during student showcases.
He is also hoping to cast roles directly from the pool of actors at
the school for upcoming projects through his production company,
Rabbit Bandini.
