James Franco has signed on to direct a new movie about one of the worst films ever made.
The 127 Hours star will helm The Disaster Artist, which will chronicle 2003's The Room, a flop that became an unlikely late-night cult favorite.
Franco will also star as Tommy Wiseau, the Room's director and leading man.
The film will be adapted from Tom Bissel's book, The Disaster Artist, about the making of the film.
Franco's brother Dave is attached to play Wiseau's co-star Greg Sestero, and Seth Rogen is on board to produce.
