JAMES FRANCO FOR APES PREQUEL

James Franco is set for another action blockbuster - he's signed up to star in a prequel of Planet Of The Apes, according to a report.

The Spider-Man actor has played the web-slinger's arch-nemesis Harry Osborn in all three of the Spider-Man movies, and now he's heading to another massive movie franchise.

Franco will play a young scientist in Rise of the Apes, according to Daily Variety.

The action thriller is set for release next summer (Jun10).
