Jackson warns Paris about industry fears
Pop superstar Janet Jackson has warned her niece Paris to carefully consider her decision to pursue a career in entertainment after learning the aspiring teenage actress has landed her first movie role.
Michael Jackson's 13-year-old daughter will make her film debut in upcoming fantasy Lundon's Bridge and The Three Keys and she will begin shooting the project next month (Jan12).
But her Auntie Janet has expressed reservations about the
youngster's acting ambitions - because the Nasty hitmaker knows all
too well how tough it can be growing up in the spotlight.
In an upcoming interview on news show Nightline, due to air on
Thursday night (15Dec11), she says, "I'm happy for her because this
is what she wants to do... (but) I said, 'You should really take
this time to enjoy your youth to its fullest because you lose so
much of your childhood in this industry."
Janet rose to fame as a child actor on hit TV show Good Times, but
has previously revealed her self-esteem and weight issues as an
adult began during her time on the program, when she felt under
pressure to stay slim.
