Jack White: 'Kanye and I almost hooked up for Yeezus sessions'

Written by . Published: May 22 2014

Rocker Jack White came close to landing one of the wildest collaborations of 2013 when Kanye West showed interest in working with him as the rapper completed sessions for his Yeezus album.

White tells the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine he spoke to West about recording together, but the plan never took off and the former White Stripes star admits he regrets not getting the chance to work with the rapper after catching him in concert.

He says, "That might have been the greatest show I've seen in my life. It was more punk, more in-your-face than anything I've seen."

White also tells the publication he came close to working with Jay Z after offering the rap mogul a few tracks, adding, "I'm not sure he liked them."
