Insane Clown Posse star investigated by IRS

U.S. authorities at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) are investigating Insane Clown Posse star Shaggy 2 Dope after he failed to present his income at scheduled meetings earlier this year (15).

Officials at the IRS filed documents on Wednesday (15Jul15) asking a judge to enforce a summons against the hip-hop star, real name Joseph Utsler.

According to the legal papers obtained by the Associated Press, Utsler was slated to appear for meetings with government officials with financial records in hand in March and May (15), but failed to show up.

The IRS is reportedly looking into his income between 2011 and 2012.

The financial troubles come months after Utsler and his bandmate Violent J were forced to cancel dates on their U.S. tour due to paperwork issues relating to Utsler's probation for a 2012 DUI charge.
