Idris Elba joins The Last Party for video

The Last Party have been given a huge boost by their acting hero, Prometheus and Thor star Idris Elba - he has signed on to direct the little-known British band's new video.

Band member Liam Manton admits he had little hope of securing Idris Elba as a video director when he approached him about the project and was thrilled when the actor signed on.

He tells NME.com, "We told him our first video for debut single Bonnie & Clyde was an anti-talent show statement and our second video... was a satire of Botox culture all done with no budget, just the input of like minded individuals.

"He was impressed and offered to direct our next video, which was immense news... All we watch on the (tour) bus is The Wire and the American version of The Office and he's been in both."

Liam Manton and his bandmates are now deciding what song will become the soundtrack to Idris Elba's new video.
