Ian Somerhalder making directorial debut on The Vampire Diaries

Actor Ian Somerhalder is set to make his directorial debut on an upcoming episode of his hit show The Vampire Diaries.
The TV star will take charge of the 16th episode in season six next year (15), according to TVLine.com.
Details surrounding the episode are under wraps, but Somerhalder is
excited about his upcoming duties.
In a message on Instagram.com, the former Lost star writes, "Thank
you to all involved in the decision-making process for giving me
the opportunity to do this - I am so grateful. I'll do my very
verry (sic) very best not to screw it up."
