Huntington-Whiteley stunned by Maxim honour

British model-turned-film star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was convinced Maxim magazine bosses had got the wrong girl when she first learned she had topped their 2011 Hot 100 list.

The stunner, who stars in the upcoming Transformers sequel, admits she had to check to make sure she really was the number one hottie.

She tells news show Access Hollywood, "When I was first told, I had to ask whether they had called the right person. And then when I was assured that I was the right person, I had a good long look in the mirror and I went, 'How the hell did you get it, girl?'

"I can live with that for a year... It’s a great title. I’m really honoured."

And just as delighted is the 24 year old's boyfriend Jason Statham.

She adds, "He’s very happy... We’re very proud and excited. It’s really a fun time for us right now."
