Hundreds turn out for Bobbi Kristina Brown vigil

Hundreds of well-wishers gathered in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday night (09Feb15) to take part in a candlelit vigil in honour of Whitney Houston's ailing daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The event, titled Shining a Light for Healing for Bobbi Kristina Brown, took place at the Riverdale Town Center Amphitheatre and was attended by a large crowd, which included several members of Brown's family.

Attendees held candles and torches while Houston's music was played, and the vigil also included prayers, speeches and performances of gospel songs.

The only daughter of superstar singer Houston and New Edition frontman Bobby Brown was found unresponsive in a bath tub at her home in Roswell, Georgia on 31 January (15), and she has since been fighting for her life at a hospital in Atlanta.

The crisis comes three years after her mother died in eerily similar circumstances, drowning in a tub at a hotel in Los Angeles on the eve of the Grammy Awards in February, 2012.
