Actress/singer Hilary Duff has split from her former ice hockey star husband Mike Comrie after less than four years of marriage.
The Cheaper by the Dozen star, 26, wed the retired sportsman, 33, in August, 2010 after three years together and she gave birth to their only child, son Luca, in March, 2012.
A representative for Duff tells People.com, "Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided (upon) an amicable separation.
"They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time."
The news emerges just days after the couple rang in 2014 together - Duff shared a photo of the pair all dressed up on her Twitter.com page on New Year's Day (01Jan14), alongside the caption, "nye fancy HAVE FUN!!!"
Duff previously gushed about how becoming parents had strengthened their marriage, stating, "It's made (our marriage) stronger. Having a baby is a lot of hard work and you really depend on each other for a lot. There is so much love... you can't imagine it until it happens to you and you look at your husband and you're like, 'We did this together'."
