Hilary Duff makes relationship Instagram official

Hilary Duff has confirmed her new romance with personal trainer Jason Walsh by sharing a picture of them kissing on Instagram.

The So Yesterday star and Jason have been linked since earlier this year (16), but on Sunday (16Oct16), she took to social media to make their status official.

"Date night with J," she captioned the picture.

The 29-year-old opened up about Jason last month (Sep16), but stopped short of confirming the romance.

"We've known each other for a really long time and he's a great guy and we have a lot of fun together," she told Good Day New York. "It's nice to have that excitement in my life."

The singer/actress split from former ice hockey player Mike Comrie in January, 2014, after four years of marriage, and they finalized their divorce in February (16). However, in May (16), the former couple was photographed sharing a lingering kiss goodbye in Beverly Hills, California. Hilary did not comment on speculation suggesting they were briefly back on, but she has always maintained their separation was amicable, and they have remained friendly as they co-parent their four-year-old son Luca.

"We are good friends and we laugh a lot," she shared with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in January (16), "and we have a great communication and we share pictures when one is not with Luca. He's (Mike) great, we are great and we keep on trucking."

Hilary also expressed her pride at how well she and Mike had handled their marriage split.

"It wasn't working well enough to stay together, but there was still a lot of love involved," she told Cosmopolitan magazine. "It was just a slow set-in of us not being the match that we used to be. I'm lucky for the person he is and I am, and how we decided to handle this."
