One Direction star Harry Styles was forced to turn down the chance to appear in a new Harvey Weinstein movie because he was too busy.

The movie mogul offered the pop star a role in Tulip Fever, opposite Dame Judi Dench, Christoph Waltz and Zach Galifianakis, but Styles was committed to touring with One Direction and had to pass up the opportunity.

The role was filled by Glee star Matthew Morrison.

Weinstein revealed the news to the MailOnline, explaining that Styles also turned down a make-out session with his model ex Cara Delevingne in the film.

The confident producer says, "I'm sure Harry won't be turning be down the next role I offer him," insisting the One Direction star is "like Errol Flynn - he's got that swashbuckling charm."
