Harry Potter voted top film of the summer

Harry Potter's final outing has been voted the blockbuster of the summer (11) by movie fans.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, starring Daniel Radcliffe, marked the end of the boy wizard's adventures on the big screen, and it has so far grossed more than $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office.

Now cinema-goers have named it their top film of the summer - it's landed 60 per cent of the vote in a poll on NextMovie.com.

X-Men: First Class was a far-out second with 15 per cent, while Rise of the Planet of the Apes came third in the survey. Bridesmaids and Super 8 rounded out the top five.
