Gwyneth Paltrow narrowly avoids collision on scooter

Gwyneth Paltrow narrowly avoided a collision on her scooter last week (ends06Sep13) after pulling out in front of a school bus - with her daughter riding behind her on the back seat.

The Sliding Doors star and her husband Chris Martin were picking up Apple and their son Moses from their school in Los Angeles when Paltrow's Vespa was caught on camera appearing to cut off a big yellow bus - prompting the driver to slam on the brakes to avoid ramming into the actress and her eldest child.

Video footage of the close call shows the mom of two seemingly oblivious to the danger as she merges into oncoming traffic, although rocker Martin appeared to be more cautious as he pulled away from the curb with Moses on the back of his scooter.
