Gwyneth Paltrow mocks Robert Downey, Jr. over Iron Man moans
Gwyneth Paltrow has branded movie tough guy Robert Downey, Jr. a "wimp" over his famous hatred of his Iron Man outfit.
The Hollywood beauty plays the superhero's love interest Pepper Potts in the action franchise, and in the upcoming third installment she gets to put on Downey, Jr.'s Iron Man costume.
The Shakespeare in Love star admits she was wary of donning the
superhero suit after hearing Downey, Jr. constantly complain it is
too hot and uncomfortable, but she was shocked at how easy wearing
it was once she got on set.
Paltrow tells U.K. talk show host Graham Norton, "I get to wear the
Iron Man suit for a while - it's very cool... It's quite cumbersome
but not so bad. I thought it was going to be terrible because in
the first two movies Robert would put on the suit and start
sweating, he'd have a nervous breakdown and would meditate and cry.
He was in hell. So, I was like, 'Wow, I'd better start mentally
preparing myself for the suit,' and I put it on and was like, 'This
guy is a wimp, it's really not that bad.'"
