Gwyneth Paltrow calls for food labelling change

Gwyneth Paltrow has urged her fans to support a campaign calling on lawmakers to overhaul their food labelling system.

The Sliding Doors star is well known for her healthy eating habits and she wants officials to pass California's Proposition 37 statute, which would require labelling of genetically engineered food.

She's taken to her Twitter.com page to rally support for the initiative, linking to an online fundraising page and calling on her followers to raise awareness of the cause.

In a post, she writes, "We have a right to know what's in our food! It's just a label! I am about to donate now, please join me."
