Gwyneth Paltrow is giving fans the chance to enjoy a dinner date with her as part of a new fundraiser benefiting those affected by superstorm Sandy.

The actress has joined the Fashion for Sandy Relief project, which is a joint effort between the Council Of Fashion Designers Of America and Vogue magazine to pull in donations for victims of the storm, which battered the country's East Coast last month (Oct12).

Gwyneth Paltrow will give the winning bidder the chance to dine with her and chef pal Mario Batali, and the date is estimated to pull in as much as $25,000 on auction website Charitybuzz.com.

Other lots up for grabs include a front-row seat at a fashion show alongside Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, and luxurious stays at the homes of designers Diane von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger.

The auctions close on 5 December (12).
