Gwen Stefani much better after suffering ruptured eardrum

Gwen Stefani is making a speedy recovery after suffering a ruptured eardrum.

The former No Doubt frontwoman had to cancel a planned performance at a gala in Las Vegas on Thursday night (27Apr17) after her eardrum reportedly burst during a flight two days earlier.

Gwen underwent treatment at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and her boyfriend and fellow The Voice coach, Blake Shelton, has now revealed that she has bounced back.

"She's getting better," he told Entertainment Tonight. "Something like that is just slow, when you pop-blow your eardrum out, I don't even know how that happens. But, she says she can hear now."

Country musician Blake added that Gwen will be appearing on The Voice again on Tuesday (02May17), and is likely to perform a song.

"She'll be all right...She'll be singing tomorrow (on The Voice). She's tough," he shared.

Gwen has not commented on her ailment on social media, but used Snapchat to document the First Communion ceremony of her two eldest sons on Saturday.

The Hollaback Girl singer posted photos of Kingston, 10, and eight-year-old Zuma, whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, at the event, showing her boys all dressed up in matching black suits for the Catholic Church rite of passage.

Gwen's sons were joined by her niece, Stella, in the ceremony, as well as family and friends for a party afterward.

The 47-year-old star also turned the camera on herself for one brief moment, during which Gwen, who wore a white blouse with a floral pencil skirt, smiled, "I'm really happy right now!"
