GERARD BUTLER AND REESE WITHERSPOON NOT DATING

A spokesperson for Gerard Butler has rubbished reports he is dating Reese Witherspoon, just months after she split from Jake Gyllenhaal.

America's Star magazine claimed Gerard Butler was consoling the newly-single Legally Blonde actress after her break-up late last year (09).

A source told the publication, "Reese's friends are giggling about her secretly meeting up with Gerard. She thinks he's super-hot! They've hung out a few times, mostly at his place in L.A."

But Gerard Butler's rep has shot down the report, telling GossipCop.com it is "not true".
