George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Beyonce are among the A-list line-up announced to lead a one-hour telethon in aid of the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief is the brain child of Houston native Bun B and Scooter Braun, and will air on 12 September (17) across networks ABC, CBS, CMT, FOX and NBC.

Oprah Winfrey, Barbra Streisand and Karlie Kloss will also be involved, as will Texans Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid and Jamie Foxx. Beyonce also hails from the state.

Stars have already rallied around to help those affected by the tropical storm that ripped through eastern Texas last month. The resulting floods inundated hundreds of thousands of homes, displaced more than 30,000 people, and prompted more than 17,000 rescues, with celebrities like Sandra Bullock and Leonardo DiCaprio digging deep to help in the relief effort.

Now the A-list are looking to raise even more funds through Hand in Hand. Organizers are also hoping the telethon will raise spirits as the country gets to work rebuilding Texas.

Proceeds from the telethon will benefit United Way of Greater Houston, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, Direct Relief, Feeding Texas and The Mayor's Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief, administered by the Greater Houston Community Fund, through the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief Fund managed by Comic Relief USA.

The star-studded TV special is being produced by Den of Thieves and Scooter’s SB Projects. SB Projects recently helped to organize the One Love Manchester concert, to benefit the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in May.
