A homeless man who was discovered inside Frances Bean Cobain's Los Angeles home on Saturday (13Oct12) has pleaded not guilty to a charge of burglary.

Cobain, the 20-year-old daughter of late rocker Kurt Cobain and Hole star Courtney Love, was not at home when a housesitter found intruder Marc James Franco inside and called police.

He told officers Cobain had given him permission to stay at the house, but she dismissed his story and Franco was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The 22 year old was charged with first degree burglary for entering Cobain's property, and on Tuesday (16Oct12) he pleaded not guilty, according to TMZ.com.

He is due back in court later this month (Oct12).
