Florence Welch 'feeling much better' after resting voice
Florence Welch is "feeling much better" as she battles a vocal injury which prompted the cancellation of two Florence + The Machine shows.
The Dog Days Are Over hitmakers were due to perform at the Benicassim festival in Spain on Thursday (12Jul12) and at the Optimus Alive event in Portugal on Saturday (14Jul12), but the concerts were axed on Wednesday (11Jul12) as a result of Welch's illness.
Florence Welch received treatment on Thursday, telling her
Twitter.com followers, "At doctors. They have to put a camera down
my throat...", and she updated fans about her condition again on
Friday (13Jul12).
In a post on the microblogging website, she writes, "My voice is
feeling much better today, I so much appreciate all your...
love."
She also urged fans to support the band's new song Spectrum (Say My
Name) so the group can land its first number one on the U.K.
singles chart on Sunday (15Jul12).
Florence Welch adds, "A little bird has told me the charts are
really close... shall we see if we can get spectrum to number 1,
that. Would. Be. Amazing (sic)... we've never had one, soooooo...
now we think it might be nice."
