Fka Twigs is holding an open dance workshop on Tuesday (19Jul16) in Baltimore to select dancers to perform in her show in the city.

The Water Me singer announced she, her choreographers and dancers would be hosting the workshop on her Twitter account on Monday night.

British singer twigs - real name Tahliah Barnett - revealed she will be selecting dancers, who must be aged 18 and upwards, from the class to appear in her Pier 6 Pavilion show and the sessions will be filmed.

The star, who is engaged to Twilight star Robert Pattinson, posted a series of tweets detailing information of the workshop.

"the info; FKA twigs dance workshop tomorrow tues 19 july 851 hollins st baltimore md 21201. 5pm-10pm with me, my choreographers & dancers." And added in another tweet: "Free workshop intermediate & advanced level, all styles age 18+ welcome. i'll be inviting dancers to perform at my pier 6 show on wed."

twigs, a former dance teacher who appeared in Jessie J's early videos, ended the flurry of tweets by telling her followers she was "excited to meet you, share ideas and dance together baltimore! (sic)".

Baltimore has been the scene of violent protests following the tragic death of 25-year-old African-American Freddie Gray in April 2015, a week after sustaining traumatic injuries when he was transported to jail in a police van.

twigs recently closed out the Pitchfork Music Festival in Union Park, Chicago, alongside singer Miguel, and Chance the Rapper.
