Fiona Apple apologizes to fans for drug arrest drama

Singer/songwriter Fiona Apple has apologized to fans for her drug possession arrest in Texas last week (ends23Sep12).

The Criminal hitmaker was arrested on 19 September (12) and forced to scrap a show in Austin because she was behind bars in the Hudspeth County Jail.

She blasted cops during a gig in Houston on Friday (21Sep12) for allegedly mistreating her, but now seems to have relaxed her stance, admitting she regrets her actions.

Apple hit the stage at the House of Blues in New Orleans on Tuesday (25Sep12) and told fans, "I'm really sorry. All the work we did is being overshadowed by this bulls**t."

She also backtracked on claims she kept a log of the alleged abuses she suffered behind bars, adding, "There are no f**king lock boxes. I didn't make up a code. It was my way to make a parallel between the self. I am not that f**ked up."
