Final Twilight movie is franchise's biggest opener

The final Twilight movie scored the franchise's best opening worldwide over the weekend, with a $340.9 million haul.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 topped the worldwide weekend box office and raked in $141.3 million in the U.S. alone.
The film opened in 4,070 cinemas on Thursday night (15Nov12), but
missed out on a U.S. franchise best by just $1.5 million - The
Twilight Saga: New Moon opened with $142.8 million in 2009.
Meanwhile, Skyfall became the top-grossing Bond movie of all time
over the weekend after blasting past $669 million at the
international box office. The Sam Mendes film has raked in $161.3
million in America alone in just 10 days.
