Fifth Harmony star pulls out of press tour after grandmother dies
Fifth Harmony star Lauren Jauregui has pulled out of a press tour promoting the band's debut album to be with her family following her grandmother's death.
On Tuesday (03Feb15), the girl group celebrated the release of new record Reflection, but the same day, Jauregui was dealt a blow when she learned her elderly relative had passed away.
Jauregui, 18, took to her Instagram.com page on Wednesday (04Feb15)
to share a photo of herself embracing her grandmother, and wrote in
the caption, "Yesterday I lost a large piece of my world. My most
beautiful, intelligent, strong, angel. The woman who taught me that
a strong mind and heart are essential in this life. Thank you for
giving me your unconditional love and wisdom throughout my life,
listening to me and making me feel like I was heard and that my
feelings were always valid. You will always be in my heart..."
The rest of the bandmembers carried on their U.S. tour promoting
the album, and when the four remaining singers, Camila Cabello,
Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen and Normani Kordei, appeared on chat
show The Talk on Thursday (05Feb15), they sent their love to
Jauregui, who they said was dealing with a "family emergency".
