Fans rushing to buy Twilight tickets

Twilight fans are flooding the Internet to buy up tickets for the movie franchise's penultimate film as the stars get ready for a mob scene at their Los Angeles premiere on Monday (14Nov11).

More than 2,500 showtimes for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, which opens at midnight on Thursday (17Nov11), have already sold out through top online movie ticket and information firm Fandango.com and the website reports that the film currently represents 93 per cent of all ticket sales.

The movie looks set for a record-breaking weekend as 47 per cent of those buying pre-release tickets have revealed they plan to see the movie as part of a group of friends.

Meanwhile, Twilight fever has gripped downtown Los Angeles, where fans have been camped out since late last week (ends11Nov11), hoping to get a good place for tonight's premiere.
